1MJ’s Class Charter

Here is our class charter, we worked together as a team to come up with our own wording. We have finger painted our finger prints on the window as a little reminder that we always try our best to follow our charter.

5M Ukulele

5M really enjoyed their first ukulele lesson. We learned about the different parts of the instrument through a song and how to hold it correctly. We cannot wait for our next lesson!

4M timeline

Adding significant dates to our timeline in order to understand BC/BCE and AD. I was pretty impressed by how much the children could remember from their history lessons in previous year groups.

4M descriptive writing

In English we are learning how to write a description about the flying machine from our class text ‘Farther’. On Friday the children tried writing descriptive sentences using fronted adverbials and then shared their writing with each giving two stars and a wish.

4M become the internet

Sometimes computing lessons can be done without computers! To understand how the internet works, the children passed messages to each other whilst pretending to be different computer systems. The children then had to decide whether to block or allow and explain their reasons for doing so.

News Blog 17.9.21

It’s been so wonderful to have these 2 weeks back in school with life feeling very much back to normal! The children have been absolutely amazing, with their behaviour, respect and general conduct around school. We really do have a wonderful school community!

We have been discussing Learning Reviews and are pleased to let you know that these will resume, face to face in the last week if this half term – more information will follow on this.

Thank you to all our families who have made sure the children are arriving on time, in their uniform and with their reading books – which are needed in school every day! I know from talking to many of you how pleased you are that things are getting back to normal again!
