Year 4 Maths homework 29.9.20

In maths we are now focusing on rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. You have been doing a wonderful job in class. I would now like to see if you can apply everything you have learnt in school, outside of school. There is no need to print the question, just use a pen and paper to answer them.

Red maths group- have a go at rounding the numbers to the nearest 10 and 100.

Blue, green and yellow- have a go at rounding the numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 100.

All groups now try the fact or fib statements.

Year 4 English home learning

This week we began writing our diary entry based on a day in the life of Charles from ‘Voices in the Park’. You have been doing a fantastic job in class. I would now like to see if you can apply your diary entry skills outside of school. Can you write a diary entry based on something you have done at the weekend? I have attached the Year 4 targets to include in your writing. You don’t have to print anything out, you can use paper that you have at home. Post your finished entries at

I’m looking to seeing what you get up to!

Y6 Homework 29.9.20

For this week’s homework, we would like you to have a go at some times tables challenges on Times Tables Rock Stars.

You will need to go on the site and type in your username and password. Your challenges will then appear on your screen.

Mrs Pendleton and Miss Dunleavy will then log on to the site and see how well you have done. You do not need to email us this week.

Rights Respecting Assembly

Our Learning Ambassadors did a super job delivering their first Rights Respecting assembly of the academic year to their classes.

During the assembly, the Learning Ambassadors recapped what makes a Rights Respecting School and what rights are important to the children of Bowker Vale.

Well done Learning Ambassadors.
