Thank you for supporting our School Councillors who requested a non-uniform day today for a donation towards the devastation in the Australian bush, where fires have destroyed wildlife and communities. Our £517 raised today will be sent to Clifton Creek Primary School, which has been burned to the ground, and is relying on charity to support their rebuilding programme. A brilliant team effort!
Everyone has enjoyed trying out our ‘Active Playground’ this week. As some of our Year 5 children said;
‘it’s such great fun as well as keeping us fit and healthy using muscles we don’t normally exercise!’
PLEASE NOTE – the equipment is not for parents or families to use. Also, just like the Vale Trail, children will not be allowed to use the equipment before or after school at the start or end of the school day. This is for health and safety and insurance reasons. Thank you for supporting school with this. The children are all aware of this rule.
Some residents from Redford Road (the cul-de-sac just off Northbrook Avenue) have contacted school to complain about the number of cars that are blocking their small street during busy school drop off and pick up times. I am told there are disabled residents who need clear access at all times, so please can everyone be considerate when parking on the surrounding roads?
