Nursery have had a fantastic first full week.

4M in the forest

We kicked off our first full week as Year 4 with forest school. Den building and finding fox holes was the order of the day. We were also very lucky to have the incredible trees in Narnia to keep us sheltered from the rain.

The Way Back Home

Each class is completing work relating to the book ‘The Way Back Home’ by Oliver Jeffers.

In year six, we have been creating our own pictures relating to the story.

Attendance this week is 95.2% – much better than last week but still slightly short of our target of 96%.

Well done to 3SU for your fantastic attendance – 99.3%. Also thank you to SSC, 6P, 5H and 4M who were all above 96%.

There were 59 late arrivals at school this week. Please remember school doors are open between 8.40 and 8.50, arriving after 8.50 means you are late to school.

News Blog – 13.9.19

Our first full week back has flown by and has been another great week, full of excellent behaviour choices and lots of inspirational learning opportunities. All classes are focusing on one ‘Inspirational’ person and their life. Our corridor displays are all representing these people and will be ready for when families come to vist us on our first Open Morning of the year (for Years 1-6 only this time) on Tuesday 24th September. Do you know who your child’s class is studying? Ask them and see if they can teach you something you didn’t know!

Some of our Learning Ambassadors visited the Houses of Parliament this week and learned all about the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They had a guided tour and then joined in a workshop about campaigning. You’ll see some of their photos on the blog.

If you scroll down you’ll also see children in different classes learning, including their Physical Education. We invest in a coaching service from MCFC and the children learn all sorts of different skills with Connor, who they really enjoy working with.

Finally, we are collecting the ‘Aldi’ vouchers in the hope of receiving more sports equipment. If you shop there, please collect them for us! Thank you.
