Year One had lots of fun experimenting with different types of dance.
6P enjoyed some fun on European Sports Day!
The rainy day wasn’t going to stop 6P from enjoying some fun, sporty activities.
We played Rollerball Relay in the hall, which was excellent for promoting teamwork, getting hearts pounding and putting big smiles on faces!

European Sports Day 27.09.19
The rain didn’t stop 3SU from having lots of sporty fun!
We particularly enjoyed Just Dance.

European Sports Day
We found a gap in the rain to get outside and enjoy our ‘Daily Mile’.
Attendance
Attendance this week is 96.6% – just above our 96% target.
A special mention this week to 5H who had 100% attendance – well done!
Disappointingly there were even more late arrivals to school this week with 97 occasions of children arriving after the school doors close at 8.50. If you are regularly missing the start of the school day please think about how you can change your morning routine to ensure you arrive at school on time.

VIP lunch
Well done to the children chosen to be a VIP at lunchtime today! They sat on a special table and enjoyed their lunch with Mrs Jacques!

Year one exciting visitor
On Monday year 1 had an exciting surprise. A space ship had landed on the playground it had brought our new book that we are looking at. Check the blog next week for our writing about the book.

Thank you to those of you that were able to make our Open Morning this week. It was great to have so many of you in school, seeing the fantastic teaching and learning that takes place every day here at BV. Our Learning Ambassadors were on hand to guide you around the classes and explain how our school runs – they all had really positive feedback, so thank you team!
Here are some of the comments you left for us at the end of the morning
- Absolutely fantastic and amazing morning.
- Very interesting and encouraging. Teachers are very nice and co-operative with the students. Thank you so much teachers
- Brilliant open morning. Good atmosphere, organised, hard working teachers and teaching assistants.
Scroll down to see other exciting events that have happened in classes and our outdoor areas over the last week. Sadly the weather has not been kind today for our European Sports Day, but the children still enjoyed some indoor sports activities.

In Reception as part of our ‘Hook’ for our new class book, we tasted porridge. Most of the children enjoyed the porridge, we used language such as too hot, too cold, lumpy and just right! This led us perfectly in to our new story.
